Intro clip:
Q: Where in the world is St. John's, Newfoundland?
Q: What's the "interactive" part?
Q: But Newfoundland is as far from Los Angeles as Tahiti!!!
In mid-May a young couple will drive a classic convertible the entire length of route 66, then travel across Canada to St. John's, Newfoundland (the northeastern edge of North America) - a journey of about 4500 miles in three weeks.
The couple, equipped with a video camera and a laptop computer with wireless data access will document the trip with video, photos and journal entries posted to the website on a daily basis. In addition, there will be a live webcam, live location information and chats from within the car and from various stops en-route.
Check back soon for a detailed map of the route, a full itinerary and more streaming video episodes. We'll also running occasional tests of the webcam and chat room in the next couple weeks.
